CLASS ETIQUETTE

YOUTH DRESS CODE:

All students must wear a cover-up to and from class. Proper dance wear is required for all classes. Students must wear comfortable form-fitting dance attire to display proper body alignment and allow for easy movement. No baggy t-shirts, baggy shorts, blue jeans, no jewelry or other inappropriate attire will be allowed. Hair should always be securely pulled away from the face. (Failure to wear required dancewear to class may result in student being asked to sit out in class. Repeated failure to wear required dancewear can result in termination of lessons.)

Dance shoes are to be worn in the studio only and not worn outside.

DISCOVER WITH ME: Comfortable clothes to move, play and dance in. No jeans. Bare feet or ballet slippers only, please no socks.

DISCOVERTOTS: Solid color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Boys should wear black ballet shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt.

DISCOVERDANCE 1 & 2: Solid color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Boys should wear black ballet shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt.

KINDERDANCE: Solid color leotard, pink tights or tan tights, and pink ballet shoes. Boys should wear black ballet shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt.

BALLET: Solid color leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes.

JAZZ: Leotard, short or leggings, tights, and slip-on jazz shoes.

TAP: Leotard, shorts or leggings, tights, and black tie tap shoes.

HIP HOP: Comfortable clothing and clean sneakers. (No baggy pants or jeans)

INTRO TO BREAKDANCING: Comfortable clothing and clean sneakers (no baggy pants or jeans)

BOYS HIP HOP: Comfortable clothing and clean sneakers (no baggy pants or jeans)

LEAPS & TURNS: Leotard, shorts or leggings, tights, and jazz shoes.

MUSICAL THEATER: Leotard, shorts or leggings, tights, tap shoes, and jazz shoes.

ACRO: Leotard, shorts, tights, and bare feet. No socks.

YOUTH REGISTRATION:

A non-refundable fee of $10 per student is required at time of new registration.

YOUTH PAYMENT OF FEES:

Each tuition year consists of four 9-week sessions. Payment for Session I is due at the time of registration. Payments for the other sessions are due on the dates specified on the current schedule. A $35 late fee will be added to the student’s tuition for any payments received 5 days past due. A $35 fee will be assessed for any returned checks.  

YOUTH ATTENDANCE AND LATENESS:

Students who come late to class may be asked to sit and watch the class. The studio reserves the right to terminate lessons for repeated lateness or if a student misses more than four classes without written notice. Make-up classes are allowed for injury or illness only and must be made up within one month in the same or lower level class. No refunds will be given.

CARE OF STUDENTS:

The studio is not responsible for providing before or after class care of students under 18 years. Students are not to be left at the studio for excessive periods of time before or after their classes. 

PHOTO RELEASE:

The studio is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the students to use in brochures, website, posters, advertisements, and other promotional material the studio creates. Permission is also granted for the studio to copyright such photographs in its name.
