Hello Dance Families,
We are beyond excited to announce our VERSA5 Recital 2025: DreamWorks Dance Animation! The shows will be held at the Tivoli Theater in Downtown Downers Grove on Saturday June 7 at 10:00am, Tuesday June 10 at 6:30pm, and Wednesday June 11 at 6:30pm.
This year’s theme is all about DREAMWORKS ANIMATION STUDIOS! You’ve seen some of our favorite films including: Trolls, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, and so many more!
Our greatest adventure will be creating our very own, Shrek Ballet: Once Upon a Swamp! Each ballet class, level I-VI, will be participating in this one-act with props, vignettes, whimsy and fairytale characters.
Each participant in recital will require a RECITAL FEE which includes a participation fee, a recital tee, a recital souvenir, and a recital video. The recital fee is $140 with the first payment of $70 due February 15, 2025 and the second payment of $70 due March 15, 2025. If you have more than one student participating, each additional student is $40 and includes their participation fee, a recital tee, and a recital souvenir. This fee does NOT include tickets.
In addition, COSTUME FEES are $90 per costume per class for Grades 1+ and $70 per costume for DiscoverDance and KinderCombo classes. The costume fees will be auto-paid on December 1, 2024. After this fee is processed on December 1, it is not refundable for any reason. Any costume alterations needed will be the responsibility of the parent.
We will assume participation in the recital, and families are responsible for recital and costume fees. Parents must notify the studio via Recital 2025 Opt-Out Form, if their student does not plan to participate in the recital by December 1, 2024. Please do not rely on your dancer to inform us that he or she will not be dancing in the recital!
Lastly, dress rehearsal will run during class time the week of June 2-6, 2025 and picture day dates will be announced as soon as possible. The last day of classes for Season VIII will be Friday June 6, 2025. Stay tuned for more details including the recital packet, with information about costumes, hair, make-up, picture day and tickets, coming this spring!
This season, our shows will be shrek-tacular events!
